Gary Cole - 90 minutes of your time to cut off 50% of your time per face per child.

You really can paint a GOOD full face in just two to three minutes. Gary will walk you through a range of very logical steps that will cut minutes off of your current face painting. This is lecture format where we discuss techniques to time saving. A professional should be able to easily paint 15 good full face designs at the average birthday party and 20 at a festival where the lines are long. This class is one that will pay for your convention with increased productivity on the job.

Nora Susko - SPEED PAINTING -
This class focuses on how to simplify designs to be done is 1 to 1.5 minutes and still have parents going "WOW". Because of being able to assemble a crew of 3 people who can produce these designs at this speed I had a gross income of over $21,000.00 in weekday work last year. Come learn how I do these faces. Please plan to be painted as I need lots of faces to show how this is accomplished. (DEMO & LECTURE)
Dick Moberg - Balloons 101:
This class is for those with little or no twisting experience. We will learn the basics that will allow you to add balloons to your parties. Hands on. Bring your balloons and pumps.

Denise Cold - Breaking Up Is Hard to Do This introductory course is for anyone that is curious about Starblend makeup or still has them in their closet because they broke or didn't work for them. Learn about repotting, making custom colors, how to apply properly, blending, shading, the benefits, drawbacks and some advanced techniques.
MJ Matthews - Beginning Business, Beginning Strokes, Basic Sponge work, what's a must in your kit all for the newer painter. Let's learn some easy, fun and fast faces with a "wow" factor to launch your new hobby into a business. Some practical advice and ideas to market, maintain and move forward on a new adventure.

Tools- bring an ultra round 3 or larger, a few sponges, favorite black & white for line work and a couple of your favorite colors.

DIPS holds up under extreme conditions including rain, waterparks and hot sweaty days because it's waterproof and smudge proof. Use of DIPS require some learning to perfect technique, but the results are worth the effort! (Sponge and brush)

Gary Cole - How to avoid the pitfalls of the beginning face painter that wants to go pro.

In this class Gary will cover from his multiple decades of experience the critical steps you need to take and what to avoid in order to make that bridge from beginner to professional. He will cover both the pitfalls of your actual face painting to mistakes made in your marketing, team building and organizational skills. This is a lecture/discussion.

People seem to either LOVE Starblends or HATE them. This class will show you why I LOVE them and my most popular full face designs using Starblends and why powders will make you look like a pro. All designs 5 minutes or less to do: Skull, Zombie, Pirate, Hulk, Tiger...and of course, Spiderman.

Join us at the 2015 Face Painting Convention

Join us at the 2015 East Coast Face Painting Convention! The convention takes place January 14-19, 2015 at the Hillspoint Hotel and Conference Center in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. This smaller and more intimate face paint convention creates a friendly and comfortable atmosphere to take a refresher of old skills as well as learn and practice new techniques.

Register here for a wide range of classes by experienced face painting masters. Teachers include Mark Reid, Jay Bautista, Kerry Ann DePetro, Christina Kerr Davison, Laura Oliver, Donna Nowak, Dick Moberg, Ezia Leach, as well as many other dynamic and well-known members of the face painting community. The convention features both advanced and beginner classes, so whether you have been painting for years or days, you won’t want to miss this event. In-convention group classes and smaller hands-on classes are both available.

The registration fee includes all day classes Thursday through Sunday, and you also have the option of smaller 3-hour hands on, pre and post and night classes for the low price of $75 each.
